If we would only follow the U.S.' two party system,
our country can move at a faster pace.

It is just a matter of simple mathematics of numbers.

Imagine a presidential race with multi party system.
Assuming we have 5 parties running for presidential seat.

A candidate who can gather 21% of voters could win the race.
Assuming he or she becomes president.

There will be 79 percent who did not vote for him.
They will be the losers, they don't want to accept that they lost.
They must claim that they are cheated upon.
So they start rallies, since 79% is more than 21%
then they must be the majority voice
and the president now can be replaced thru people power.

The multi party system is the cause of our constant political unrest.
We should change the Party system if we want our country to go forward.

We will never have the best president because..
in our political system,
anybody can run for president
as long as he is a natural born citizen.
Who were our presidentiables last time?
Fernando Poe, Eddie Villanueva, Eddie Gil, Joseph Estrada.....

Unlike the two party system where the best of the best is selected
to run for president.
There should only be two political parties in this country.
Each party should select the cream of the crop for presidential post.
Only then will we have the best person to become president.

I strongly agree with you. The multi party system is also created by politicians who have their own personal interest. Correct me if Im wrong before the Marcos administration we only have two party system but after the Marcos administration the politicians allowed this multi party system. And if we have two party system members of each party should not be allowed to hop in to other party.

But then where is democracy there if we only have two party systems? Besides, having two party systems doesn't necessarily mean better di ba.
